Nation Museum of the American Indian: Culture is never forgotten

Marcia Carroll

Yesterday I visited The National Museum of the American Indian and the museum showed a culture that will never be forgotten. The museum showed us Pocahontas’s biography, four men from the rowing team at the Berlin olympics who represented their culture, and Cher showing she’s half Cherokee. We interviewed a woman named Mandy who is from the Sioux tribe and she talked about her younger age and something that stood out to me was when she mentioned, “I keep my toys to remember my culture”.
